Alex Sharp is a seasoned English specialist with over a decade of experience teaching and examining GCSE English Literature and Language. As an AQA examiner, Alex has marked thousands of scripts, gaining deep insight into what examiners look for and how students can excel under pressure.

He brings this expertise to the GCSE English Hub, where he plays a key role in producing model answers, video breakdowns, and examiner-style commentary that demystify the assessment process for students and teachers alike. Alex is passionate about clear, structured writing and helping students build the confidence and skills they need to reach Grades 7–9.

When he’s not examining or creating resources, Alex leads teacher training workshops across the UK, sharing best practices on interpreting mark schemes and raising attainment in English classrooms.
